Certified Veterinary Technician

I am a licensed veterinary technician here at Acres North since 2019. I was an US Army Military Police officer for 8 years, previously stationed at Fort Hood. I am originally from Victorville, CA, and was also stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, AK.

I recently moved from Temple/Killeen to the Lubbock area with my husband Jeffery, who was also a Military Police officer and is now a supervisor for Sleep Number Beds. I knew that veterinary medicine was next calling, and it helps my state of mind while helping animals.

After retiring from the US Army in 2015, I began veterinary technician school, interned with the Humane Society, and graduated with honors, achieving my LVT license in January 2019. I am passionate about helping pets by working on Fear Free Certification so they can get the care they need with less stress, and I am also interested in physical therapy certification.

I have 3 playful dogs: Shelby Lynn is an 8 year old rescued German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix that is a sweetie as well as my service dog, Brutus Dean is a 6 year old rescued Alaskan Husky who is a talker, and Brody Song who is a 3 year old pointer/heeler/pit mix who is very goofy.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
